Our beliefs and aims for your world.
Do you just look at nature and see a green blur?
The outline or composition of a leaf or branching structure of a tree are more powerful to your mind than words.
What we do
We offer Fracarte original nature art prints with a science twist as a prescription ('Rx') especially for interiors or when the sun sets
so to disperse this mental distraction that can lead to a disconnect from some of our own roots for wellness - nature;
while using best materials and sustainable practices.
How?
As like the actions of your local pharmacy Fracarte put a science formula of the right dosage (non-pharmacologic therapy)
not into a bottle but into our purposeful nature artwork.
What happens from my eyes?
Depending on your needs a reaction of wakeful relaxation in the brain for a micro-restorative refresh.
How will I move forward?
Fracarte's intent with our Art is to present a ‘praeventus' option; to be part of the solution; to chip away at the universal ailment of our time and transition into a brighter outlook. It is not under stress that we will do our best work, connect and learn. It is from a sense of ease and wellness that we can truly contribute.

Don't wait; your Community needs this art!
Our society has changed drastically that is why we founded Fracarte. We add the Rx to nature art. What additionally contributes to a Salutogenic effect is that 'the arts' involve imagination, aesthetics and meaning providing an inherent motivation for people to engage and we reach further as nature also represents tranquillity and peace. So while it may be true that we are a bit more creative than most, inventive and bold and take some chances when developing new ideas and transcending away from static art - you will never see us give up on what makes us different from the crowd emphasising symmetry, order and balance, not chaos or an edgy form. We do this all for the sake of humankind - by finding some peace time, in an otherwise stressful world - with science and nature at its centre. As long as there is patience behind every ‘stroke’, anything can come to life.
One area for investigation we considered is whether particular characteristics of artworks can be identified as suitable in all settings including home, school rooms, offices and healthcare settings. Research has sought to identify these characteristics, drawing attention to the healing dimensions of particular kinds of imagery, such as nature (Ulrich et al. 2003).
Fracarte as opposed to the traditional focus on studying the causes of illness our belief lies in a Salutogenesis concept which views the origin of health, rather than Pathogenesis' focus on studying the sources of diseases. A broader definition is that this approach fosters feelings of physical and mental well-being for an individual or society; it includes both a state where one feels good about themselves and their life (wellness) as well as being free from illness (health). With increased urbanization (and don’t forget recent lockdowns) - people spending most of their time indoors - this can often lead to negative alterations in lifestyle habits, leading to mind wellness issues.
To this day Fracarte, we will continue to be daring in our desire to introduce a new kind of visual art with a science twist to create a meditative effect within an atmosphere of peace and coherence which may facilitate coping, and that the perceived availability of support rather than actual use of supports, is a critical factor in good outcomes for indoor environments but we feel this experience will remain a rarity because of its newness.
But given both the growing evidence base, and the recognised need to embrace new approaches within healthcare, it feels timely to be exploring ways to embed the arts more firmly within public health prevention schemes and within clinical care. The fundamental precept of a healthy policy should provide collective supportive indoor environments (using purposeful and beneficial art) - these spaces nip in the bud i.e. prevent problems from developing - as well as creating safe spaces where people are respected, valued and supported unconditionally - this is what promotes growth and optimal living conditions for all community members both now or in the future. This is how society changes lives, one person at a time.
We are launching our FracArte images as wall art and home and wearable print elements with the intention of broadening our scope in the near future. FracArte is not only a statement of individuality and self-care FracArte is committed to supporting social and environmental causes. Therefore, when people buy our art designs, they will be also be supporting one of the following organisations: Beyond Blue - an organisation that works to support mental health, including anxiety and depression. Headspace - an organisation that works to support mental health in younger people. Save the Koala - an organisation that plant food trees for our endangered koalas.
